TV got one right for a change!

OtBB has written about Cable USA's "Royal Pains" since its debut three years ago, and not always in the most complimentary of terms.

Last evening's episode, "Manimal," contained a sequence that could have been torn from recent headlines, specifically the ones on 27East.

Fender Bender In Southampton Slows Morning Commute

Head-On County Road 39 Crash Backs Up Traffic For More Than Six Hours

Crash In Water Mill Snarls Traffic Friday Morning

I'm not certain exactly where the scene on the two-lane blacktop highway was shot1 toward the end of the episode, but it was literally bumper-to-bumper, stop-and-go... any driver's worst nightmare short of being in an accident of their own!

The sequence, which could have been shot as recently as a month ago, was certainly very timely.

And while the Commenters on 27East are mostly bitching about the inconvenience of it all, it has sunk into some the implications of what could befall the residents of Eastern Long Island during a crisis situation requiring evacuation.

Note
  1. Perhaps out near Montauk?

"it's debut"?????

Dean, you're{sic} blog is so riddled with grammatical errors that it is downright embarrassing,{sic} English is not my first language, as you so rudely pointed out, and even I am catching these small errors immediately.

That's not what I wrote, Leo, it's what you wrote. My original, sans apostrophe, stands and is correct.

Is this guy related to Angelo?

Never considered the possibility... don't think so, though... just a fellow traveler.
