Within hours of our last conversation Thursday morning, Rosemary Towers, assistant to Mayor Conrad Teller at Village Hall, was felled by a cerebral event.
She was discovered, unconscious, during a noontime break by her husband Tim of the DPW, and wound up at University Hospital in Stony Brook after a brief stop-over at Peconic Bay Medical Center.
Her sister-in-law Lori reports that she is more alert and in the process of what looks to be a long-haul recovery.
